It seems to take an age of man to settle Julie down into their bed, get her to sleep while still clinging to Granby's hand. Eventually, though, he managed to extricate himself and went into the little bathroom to wash his face. He pulled on a clean shirt, pushed damp hair back from his face and then went to find Laurence, out in the kitchen.
"There you are, then," he says, leaning his shoulder against the doorframe. "My love."

"I do wish you would stop doing this, John, intentional or otherwise." He would be driven mad with worry by forty at such a rate.

Granby bows his head, conceding the point, walking into the room silent on his bare feet and bending to drop a kiss into Laurence's hair before he takes the seat next to him. He frowns at the bandage.
"Is it not supposed to be me with the wounds?"

"Come on," says Granby, holding out his hand. "Come and get in the other bed with me for a while. Let's let her sleep."

"I'd walk through walls, Will. I'd move mountains to get to the two of you." He squeezed the other man's hand. "I could never willingly be taken."

The spare room door is open, the bed clean and made, not slept in since Julie moved into their room for good. Granby turns to Laurence, easing his jacket down off his shoulders.
"I have always believed that about you."

"So tell me," he says, a smile lifting the corner of his mouth, fingers curling against the side of Laurence's neck. "Show me."

The kiss is chaste, barely anything at all, but it's enough to make Granby tremble, ever so slightly. He bites his lip over the smile, hsi fingers curling ever so slightly.
"I'm right here, Will. I'm yours."

He let himself melt into the kiss, hand coming up to cradle Laurence's slightly stubbled cheek as they press close together. When it finally breaks, he leans his forehead against Laurence's.
"Jesus, Will. Just come to bed, would you?"

Granby pulled his shirt over his head, discarding it unceremoniously on the floor. It's one of those modern shirts, thin cotton, and it won't matter if it lies there until morning. He drops his hand, thumbing open the button on his trousers.

It didn't take more than a handful of moments to strip himself entirely and then Granby leaned down over Laurence, taking another kiss.
"I'm so tired, I feel like I could sleep for a hundred years," he admits, dropping down onto his knees between Laurence's, starting to undo his trousers.

"Let's get out of the rest of your clothes," says Granby, leaning forward to press a kiss against the bare skin over Laurence's ribs. "At the very least, I want to go to sleep with your skin against mine, Will. At the very, very least."

Granby sits back comfortably on his heels and watches Laurence finish undressing. An eyebrow twitches.
"More could very easily be arranged, my love."

"I'm so turned around, I don't entirely know what I wish," says Granby, smirking, pulling himself up off the floor and crawled onto the bed, head against the pillow, looking up at Laurence. "Other than to have you close."
