There is always paperwork to be done. Granby has handwriting typical of an Aviator - educated by the Corps from the age of seven, there had always been more exciting things to do than practising making letters, especially once he'd started to show promise as a Mid. It's not that it's illegible, just that it's a bit of a scrawl and he does have a tendency to spread the words out more than they maybe need to be. Still, he's grateful of something to be doing, something to keep his mind occupied. He's been aware of being something of a scrub for the last week or so, but it really is impossible, unable to tell what way Laurence is going to go from one minute to the next.

Files? Are much easier to predict.

Granby glances up towards the clock. Not long until dinner, but time to finish what he's doing.

"Yes. I think that is... acceptable," Laurence said, Granby's smile echoed in his own face through the flush of anticipation and something more heated as well. Though the pace had picked up rather a great deal with the suggestion (or possibly order, it had been somewhat blurred until the question at the end) it was not by any means a bad thing.

He means it - he intends to take his time after this, but, right now, there's no stopping. His breathing speeds up, hips rocking now to press through the circle of Laurence's fingers.

"Jesus, Will," he says, because, despite the blushing, there's nothing wrong with Laurence's technique other than a somewhat frantic pace.

Laurence once more tried to consciously slow down. A part of him wanted to get on to the next thing, to finish it properly for John, but another part wanted to draw it out and linger. In the end, the first part won out over the other.

His fingers are tight on Laurence's bicep again, his mouth hovering, his hips rocking steadily and it feels like every muscle in him is wound tight.

He whimpers Laurence's name as he comes.

In that moment it was everything that Laurence wanted. He pressed closer, kissing Granby once more, forgetting nearly everything else.

He rocks into it until its over, until there's nothing left, his mouth pressed tight against Laurence's, fingers grazing over the back of his hand. He's breathing hard, like he's just finished running.

Laurence smiled, pulling away from the kiss, but still nearly cheek to cheek with Granby, a free hand tangled in the curls at the back of his head. He was almost equally out of breath, despite not having exerted himself as the other man had.

Letting out a shaky breath, he smiles, fingers grazing against Laurence's cheek.

"Naked. Please."

He paused for a moment, still catching his breath, before nodding. It took a little more time, however, before Laurence began unbuttoning his own shirt.

Granby sits up enough to kick off his trousers and underwear, tug his shirt up over his head and then he lies back, one knee slightly bent as he unashamedly watched Laurence undress.

In that respect at least, Laurence did somewhat envy Granby's ability to so quickly adjust to modern standards of dress. His own clothing took far longer to remove and then, naturally, he could not simply leave it scattered about, but had to carefully fold it and lay it aside. All the while he was intensely aware of Granby's eyes upon him.

Laurence blushes and Granby doesn't look away. He does shift on the bed, though, watching Laurence like he intends to draw him from memory later.

"Are you quite finished?"

He nodded finally, draping a neatly folded shirt over the back of a nearby chair, nevermind the fact that the shirt itself had been quite soiled after their previous exertions. Then, and only then, did he return to the bed. "I believe so."

"Well, thank God for that," says Granby, reaching for him, tugging him down for a kiss, fingers against the side of his neck. "I suppose you've completely lost interest in the other?"

He's teasing. He sincerely hopes that Laurence has not lost interest.

"Not completely," Laurence replied, knowing the teasing for what it was and smiling the slightest bit even as he returned Granby's kiss. Despite how exposed they both were, he did not feel half as uncomfortable as he might have otherwise.

"I'm going to show you," he says, quietly, but firm - sounding exactly like he knows what he's doing. "How do do that when you've got time. How to take your time. Because I want to be like this, Will. I want to spend time like this."

The backs of his fingers skim against Laurence's bare belly.

Laurence shivered slightly at the touch, nodding and looking Granby full in the eyes, unwavering. He trusted him completely in this and most every other thing, and knew beyond doubt that Granby would not steer him false. It was comforting to know that at least one of them knew precisely what they were meant to be doing.

The shiver is good and, this time, it's the length o Laurence's cock that he grazes with his fingers. He swallows, glancing down between their bodies.

"I understand, you know," he says, quietly. "I've spent my whole life rushing. But...I ind myself wanting to take my time over you."

Laurence shivered once more at that, harder that time, his mouth falling open in a small gasp. He was uncertain of how to reply to Granby's words or if he was even meant to.

Honestly, he wasn't expecting Laurence to answer him. He kisses along the other man's jaw, curling his fingers around him and stroking, slowly.

"Seems we both suddenly have all the time in the world, Will."

They did. For the first time in quite a long time, Laurence had no near constant demands on his time. It was strange, however, if the newfound free time was to be spent in a manner such as this, he was sure he could adapt himself to it rather readily.

"It appears we do," he answered, one hand curled around Granby's upper arm, the other resting on the bed near his thigh.

"Does that feel good?" asks Granby, sure that it does but testing his boundaries, tightens his grip for emphasis.

Laurence bit back on the sudden sound that Granby's action produced from him, but only just in time. Unwilling to trust his mouth, he nodded, fingers tightening in response on the other man's arm.

It's his eventual aim to have Laurence makes sounds like that without biting back on them, especially when they're in the privacy of their own home, but, right then, he'll take what he can get.

He shifts his grip, stroking Laurence slowly, mouth against his skin, sucking lightly.

The small groan came back unbidden before Laurence could stop it, and, though he flushed a little darker, he did not appear as embarrassed as he might have been. He shifted towards Granby, into the touch of both his hand and mouth.
